Polish Sausage Shepherd’s Pie
Ingredients:
- 12 Servings Mashed Potatoes* boxed mashed potatoes can be substituted
- 6 medium Russet Potatoes
- 2 cupes Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 stick Butter
- 2 cups Milk
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- Garlic Powder to taste
- 16 oz grated Cheddar Cheese
- 2 medium cans Mixed Veggies
- 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 1.5 Polish Lumber Jack sausage-cubed
Directions:
- Cook sausage according to package (cook to a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees)
- For the mashed potatoes:
a. Skin and dice potatoes.
b. Boil potatoes until tender.
c. Strain and mash potatoes.
d. Slowly stir in cream, butter and milk.
e. Add salt, pepper and garlic powder. - In a large bowl, mix: mixed veggies, cream of mushroom, cooked sausage.
- Spray cooking spray in a 13×9 in pan.
- Spread mixture in pan.
- Top with Mashed Potatoes.
- Layer cheese on top.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 min.
